While there is most certainly debate within the city about Varitek's shady almost-exit out of Boston, and yes, okay, his questionable numbers last season, I for one am happily content with the return of not just the veteran catcher, but the captain of the team as well. Wahoo. Only 22 days until the first Spring Training game of 2009!
